Freehold Pub Lists for Drinks Distributors and Brokers

A free house buys on the open market; a tied pub usually can't. The strongest public signal of which is which is the one Google Maps won't give you: which pubs own their freehold. We confirm that tenure from public records, by region.

For drinks distributors, brokers and pub-trade suppliers

Why tenure decides your prospect list

In the on-trade, tenure is the best open signal of who the buyer actually is. A freehold pub owns its premises, which is the strongest public sign it buys on the open market (a free house): drinks, energy, insurance, the lot. A tied or leasehold pub more often has its supply controlled by a pub company or brewery, so the person behind the bar may have little say.

For a distributor, broker or supplier, that makes the freehold flag the first qualifier on any list. Freehold is a proxy, not a promise: we confirm ownership from public records, not the brewery tie itself, so it is your strongest shortlist signal rather than a guarantee.

What you get

Each regional list is built from public records, with a tenure flag added where the records confirm it. You get:

  • Name, full address and postcode for every matched pub
  • Coordinates, so you can map the list and plan a rep's route by geography
  • Freehold or leasehold tenure where the records confirm it

What we don't give you

Being straight about the limits saves you time:

  • We don't publish owner or company names. Licensing on the underlying records covers that detail, so the freehold flag is the qualifier you work from, not a proprietor column.
  • Tenure shows only where we can confirm it. The rest is marked Unknown, not guessed.
  • It isn't a complete census. It is the pubs we can match from public records, which runs to hundreds per region.

How it fits your workflow

Preview any regional list free, then export to CSV or GeoJSON with coordinates included. Drop it into your CRM, hand it to a rep as a route, or filter to the freehold rows and work the open-market buyers first.
