Our free geo-file tools work with GPX, KML, and GeoJSON files. Use them to convert a supported file or inspect its structure and data-quality issues. Processing happens in your browser, so the file is not uploaded to our servers.

What you can upload

The tools accept GPX, KML, and GeoJSON files up to 5 MB. CSV is not an input format for these tools.

Choose a supported file and the converter prepares the available output for download. The exact result depends on the source data and target format, so check the downloaded file before using it in another mapping app.

Inspecting a geo file

The GPX, KML, and GeoJSON tools inspect a file's structure and highlight data-quality issues they can detect. They also show an interactive map preview when the file contains usable geometry.

These checks are helpful before a conversion or import, but they are not a formal schema or standards certification. They do not guarantee that another application, including Google Earth, will accept a file.

Privacy and limits

All processing happens locally in your browser. There is no sign-up requirement and files are not sent to our servers. Each uploaded file must be 5 MB or smaller.

Location files can contain places, routes, and waypoints that are personal to you. Keeping processing in the browser means those files remain on your device while you use these tools.

Who these tools help

  • People who need to convert a GPX, KML, or GeoJSON file
  • Travelers and outdoor users checking a file before importing it into an app that supports that format
  • GIS users who want a quick browser-based inspection
  • Developers looking for structural and data-quality feedback before using a file
